Bright Start Speech Therapy, LLC is a private practice that provides comprehensive speech & language services to children and young adults, ages 1-18 years. Therapy is customized for each individual child because no two children are the same, regardless of diagnosis. Therapy includes working with family members to address any concerns and to teach techniques learned in each session to ensure carryover of learned skills. Confidentiality is always a priority in full compliance with HIPAA. Evidence based practice and latest research based assessments are used to evaluate each child to determine his/her strengths and weaknesses. Building good self-esteem is an integral part of each therapy session.
BIO:
Tracey L. Diamond, M.A., CCC-SLP, is the founder and director of Bright Start Speech Therapy. She is a Speech-Language Pathologist certified by the American Speech and Hearing Association. Tracey chose to focus her clinical career on working with children with a variety of developmental and neurogenic disorders. She treats a wide variety of communication disorders, developmental speech/language delays and language-based learning disabilities. She is trained in PROMPT and Picture Exchange Communication (PECS), and has worked with different augmentative and assistive technologies (AAC).
Tracey became interested in the field of Speech and Language Pathology because her daughter had a developmental speech delay and disorder. Working with her daughter and her daughter's speech therapist led to Tracey's interest and passion in the field of Speech and Language Pathology.
Prior to entering private practice, Tracey worked at Children’s Specialized Hospital treating medically fragile pediatric patients having severe multiple disabilities: global developmental delays, cerebral palsy, autistic spectrum disorder, social communication disorders, rare genetic syndromes, severe visual/hearing impairments as well as feeding and swallowing difficulties. In addition, Tracey has worked in Early Intervention and in the public school setting.
Tracey is passionate and dedicated to providing quality and personal care to children (and their families) to help them succeed in reaching their potential. She believes that speech and language therapy and the successes experienced through therapy enable a child to build good self-esteem and continue onto future successes.
